The Women of Zeri tells the story of the daily toil and commitment of a community of young women from Lunigiana who have taken up the work of their grandparents, raising a particular breed of sheep that until some years ago were virtually extinct. This community has succeeded in developing a small scale economy, defending the biodiversity and the dignity of the rural environment.

Talk Turkey tells the story of a sweetly obsessive and controlling single mother who slaves over an elaborate Thanksgiving meal for her only son on the eve she will be introduced to his girlfriend and her parents. With a fear of being alone after discovering her son’s intention to propose to his vegetarian girlfriend, she instinctively tightens her control and must learn to open up her heart and go with the flow when things don’t quite go as planned.
