Welcome to Cinema Italiano 2011

Benvenuti al Festival!

Now in its 8th Year! Cinema Italiano in Hawai'i shares the best in Italian cinema with Honolulu's film lovers. With an eye toward artistic merit, cultural relevance, and diversity, attendance in 2010 was the largest ever in festival history. The support and interest in the islands continues to grow with contemporary Italian films for all Hawaii premiers.

Cinema Italiano in Hawai'i collaborates with Kahala Mall, the Consolidated Kahala Theatres, the Kahala Resort, Ferrari/Maserati of Hawaii, Pacific Arts Foundation, Movie Museum StarAdvertiser, Pacific Network TV and Honolulu Weekly. The Kahala Cinema features multiple screens, state of the art technology, convenient parking, and ticketing at the door as well as through Fandango.com. Over the years, the festival has provided more than $11,000 in scholarships to aspiring filmmakers in the community.

Community Support
We are grateful for community support, individual and corporate contributions, festival volunteers, and this year's talented enthusiastic and generous jurors. Jurors include Italian born director, Franco Amurri, Hawaii's very own Edgy Lee, and American actor, screenwriter, film and television producer, Neal Israel and Bonni Lee. The festival is privileged to screen the films, welcome Italian filmmakers, present films by our scholarship winners and enjoy 4 days of Italian films. Grazie to supporters, and welcome new supporters to the 8th Annual Cinema Italiano in Hawai'i!
